31.01.12 Blackpool Automart 30 - 40 BNC 1

This week's match was against none other than our arch rivals BNC 1! It was bitterly cold tonight and the courts were slightly slippery.

The game for Automart tonight started quite slowly whereas BNC 1 started well with accurate passes and shots. Before we knew it Automart were down by six goals at quarter time!

A team talk at quarter time seemed to do the trick and we pulled our socks up somewhat in the second quarter! Automart kept plugging away and this paid off as the score at half time was 15-15!

The game plan in the second half was to keep passes steady and to not panic....something which we are renound for doing under pressure! In the third quarter BNC1 pulled away slightly and our heads seemed to drop. At three quarter time the score was 26-23!

The final quarter was crucial and Automart had to keep our heads if we stood any chance of winning the game.. we couldn't do this and the pressure of the game seemed to get on top and BNC 1 won the game 40-30.

A valiant effort by Automart but we simply need to learn to not crack under pressure!
